Jack Plate
The jack plate is essential item and possibly you should carry two, if you need to deploy two jacks as we do. It stops the jack from sinking into the sand when trying to lift the car with a jack. When ever I have been lazy and not deployed it, the jack goes into the sand or road and the car stays where it is.
It is also an excellent hot plate over a fire and cooks a mean steak. It can be used as a cutting board.
